BackJef Suykerbuyk holds a bachelor’s degree in orthopedagogy and worked for 21 years at the non-profit organization De Kade with adolescents and young adults with autism. In 2012, he became a part-time staff member at VIVES SpellenLab (Bruges), where he has been working full-time since September 2022. At VIVES SpellenLab, he continuously explores which board and tabletop games can be used to practice skills with diverse target groups.
In addition, Jef is a freelance collaborator at Autisme Centraal. He is responsible for practical training on the use of games with people with autism (“Using games in autism-friendly support”) and actively contributes to the development of their educational games and other learning materials.
